Kish Island with an area of 91 km2, 43 km around the coastal area, and an overall shape of an oval, is located 18 km away from The Port of Garzeh (Bandar Aftab) in the Persian Gulf. Kish is located in the first quarter of the 1359 km south coast of Iran in the coast of the Persian Gulf and near the end part of the waterway in the Strait of Hormuz. Its northern latitude is 32.26 degrees and its eastern longitude is 58.53 and is 45.15 kilometers long in the direction of the west coast – to the east coast (distance from Marjan Complex – Hoor Square).

The highest width of the island is 7.5 km along the south coast to the north shore (distance from Customs Harbor- Sea Lantern). The island surface lacks special topography such as mountain phenomena and even high hills. Grand Recreational Pier

Kish Grand Recreational Pier has been constructed by piling method, with a wooden deck. The pier has four satellite spaces. The pier is 437 meters long and 18 meters wide. The Greek Ship

Today, this ship has become one of the tourist attractions of Kish Island. It was on July 26, 1966, when the ship sank near the village of Baghu and remained there to this day. The Greek ship was built in Glasgow in 1943 by William Hamilton. When the ship was built, it weighed 7,061 tons and a length of 136 meters. Through time, this ship has had many Iranian and English owners, and interestingly, its last owner was a Greek and the present name of the ship is because of the Greek ship.

The Greek ship had many names such as Empire Trumpet, Necheralist, Cyrus Parsi, Hamedan, and when the ship sank, his name was Kula F. (These names are written in order). 45% of the park area is green space and plant species adapted with Kish climate and beautiful urban furniture are used and the sidewalls of the park are decorated with paintings by Kish artists. Sea Turtles

There are two types of turtles in the Persian Gulf: The Hawksbill and The Green Turtle. Green turtles mainly come to Kish waters to feed, while The Hawksbill turtles, which are severely endangered, return to the protected sandy beaches, especially in the south and west of the island, from late March to mid-August to lay eggs.

Hawksbill turtles lay eggs on average three times per season with an interval of 15 days, and the turtles inside the eggs come out of the eggs 60 to 70 days later and are guided to the sea with the help of environmentalists. When they grow up, the baby turtles return to their hometown to lay eggs. Hawksbill is endangered animal species that due to its role in protecting the health of the marine ecosystem, including corals, and has been considered by unions and global organizations related to the preservation of plant and animal species.

The turtle conservation and monitoring site is located on the south coast of Kish Island, and after coordination with the sea turtle protection and monitoring center in the mentioned season and mainly in the dark of night, tourists and residents of the island can watch the cavity dig of turtles while laying eggs, babies leaving the nest and entering the waters of the Persian Gulf, which will be a lasting memory.

Kariz Underground City

Kish aqueduct is more than 2500 years old and has provided drinking water to the inhabitants of the island. Kish aqueduct is not comparable to other aqueducts in other parts of Iran in terms of aqueduct length or depth of wells, but due to the very low slope of the island, how groundwater is directed to the ground in Kish is very important and shows that it is the most advanced in its time. Methods were used to dig aqueducts.

Today, the aqueduct complex has changed to a wonderful underground city that is more than 10,000 square meters and is now called Kariz of Kish. Experienced agents have done designs and are trying to get new uses of this underground city in the project of rebuilding the Kish Aqueduct (Kariz Kish) while preserving its historical texture.

Kish Native Anthropology House

Kish Native Anthropology House is located in a building dating back 200 years in the oldest neighborhood of Kish Island (Old Safin). The house was built on an area of 1,200 square meters about 200 years ago and has 15 rooms and two courtyards and a family courtyard and has a completely indigenous architectural style. To introduce the history, culture, customs, livelihoods, and unique handicrafts of Kish natives, this house became the home of Kish Native Anthropology to create jobs for the natives of the neighborhood and realize sustainable tourism development for Kish Island.

This house is a symbol of the authenticity of the hospitality of the people of Kish. The main owner of the house of the late Haj Abdullah ibn Shahin, a famous and popular figure of Kish in the last 80 years, was a pearl merchant and the owner of one of the largest yachts at that time, who was also skilled in carpentry and craft making. Had inherited before.

To introduce the history, culture, customs, livelihoods, and unique handicrafts of Kish Natives, this house became the home of kish natives after agreeing with its owner and obtaining the necessary permission from the kish free zone organization in April 2014 to create jobs for the natives of the neighborhood and realize the development of sustainable tourism for Kish Island, and all rooms and spaces with the preservation of traditional architecture and using The indigenous materials were rebuilt and the indigenous lifestyle of Kish was rebuilt 80 years ago. The purpose of this anthropological house is to provide a space of authenticity and tradition to introduce natives and their activities in the past to travelers and guests.

Kish Water Reservoir

One of the methods of storing drinking water in the old days of Kish Island was to build water storage. In 1993, to collect surface waters, a twin water reservoir with five windbreaks in the traditional architectural style of Yazdi was constructed at the site of an ancient water reservoir in the Harireh city near the Green Tree Complex.

Due to the constructions inside Kish and the loss of surface water routes leading to traditional water reservoirs, these water reservoirs lost their main application, and today, freshwater machines are used to provide fresh water. The special architecture of this building is reminiscent of the past and is very interesting and spectacular for tourists.

Kish Dolphin Park

Dolphin Park Recreational Complex with an area of ​​about 100 hectares is located in the southeast of Kish Island. The complex includes green space with different plant species, a bird garden, and the first and only Dolphin Park in Iran, in which different species of marine mammals such as dolphin, Steller sea lion, South American sea lion, Northern Wolffish, Marine Boar, and Penguin are kept.

Visitors can visit their performances trained by Iranian educators. A total of 21 marine mammals are kept in pools with a volume of 18,000 cubic meters filled with seawater.

Bird Garden

The green space of Dolphin Park includes more than one hundred plant species including thousands of palm trees, very large Benjamina, laurel (temple figs), eucalyptus, acacia, case, mesquit, Hollyhuck, Crimson bottlebrush, Takuma, black nofield, slow carpus, juniper Prussia and more than 25 species of cactus and other plants that are unique in their kind due to the climatic conditions of Kish Island and its coral soil.

Inside the Dolphin Park, the birds garden with more than 57 species of birds such as pelican, ostrich, Macao parrot, various types of tickles, toucan, moustached Turca, swan, African penguin, and rare species such as short snout crocodile, is undoubtedly one of the most unique animal care centers in Iran. One of the most notable points in this park is the collection of species from all over the world from South America to Australia and from East Asia to Africa.
