The technique for fleshy nose surgery is an open technique, in which the surgeon lifts the entire skin of the nose to have full access to the internal tissues and make the necessary changes easily.
In the closed method, there are restrictions on doing things like adding cartilage, which is necessary for surgery on fleshy noses.

This surgery is performed by general and sometimes local anesthesia and it usually takes two or three hours. The patient is discharged one night after surgery, or oven if all the conditions are normal, he/she will be discharged 8 hours after the surgery.

Suitable age for surgery:

This surgery, like many other cosmetic surgeries, is better to be postponed after full maturity, which there is the possibility of the growth of facial and body parts.
Of course, this issue depends on your goal of surgery. There is no age restriction, if your reasons are medical factors such as polyps, respiratory problems, sleep disorders and congenital problems.

• Stop using medications that block blood coagulation such as aspirin, ibuprofen and the like, two week before your trip.
• Do not eat anything 24 hours before surgery.
• It is not possible to take shower a few days after surgery, so take a shower a night before surgery.

Cares after the fleshy nose surgery
• Swelling after surgery is normal. But to get rid of swelling sooner, you need to use a cold water compress.
• For 3 or 4 days after surgery sleep in a way that your head is higher than the rest of your body and don’t forget not to sleep on your sides for 3 weeks so that the nose will not pressure and its shape won’t change.
• In the first days, use the foods in a way to minimize the movements of mouth and jaws and no pressure is applied to the face. Usually up to 24 hours after surgery, natural fruit juices and soups are the best option for you and after that you can start with soft gradients such as mixed foods.
• Excessive heat increases the swelling of the nose. Do not expose to direct heat, such as sunlight and sauna for two weeks after surgery.
• Start the works slowly. If your work requires a lot of bending during the day, postpone returning to work, so that less pressure is put on your face and nose.
• Laugh less and don’t open your mouth so much, when you are laughing.
• Getting cold before surgery can delay your surgery and has more side effects after surgery. Getting cold puts directs pressure on your nose when you sneeze, cough or you have runny nose and you need to be very careful to minimize the damage to your newly operated nose. So be careful not to get cold.

Is fleshy nose surgery reversible?
